A licensed trade organisation representing the sugar mills of Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa since 1964 — custodian of the industry’s statistical record and its counterpart to government on policy.

Remit
What the association is responsible for
The objectives set out in the Memorandum of Association resolve into four continuing areas of work.
Representation
Counterpart to federal and provincial government on cane pricing, support prices, distribution control and the ordinances governing the trade.
Statistics
Production, sale and stock records for the whole industry, with yearly production and consumption forecasts.
Development
Improving sugarcane yield and recovery, irrigation efficiency and the adoption of new technology in the farming system.
Secretariat
A central office in Islamabad and two zonal secretariats serving the member mills directly.

Everything the association publishes is drawn from returns supplied by the mills themselves, compiled season by season and kept available long after the season closes.
